On August 23, 2010 our handsome Landon and beautiful Sadie started kindergarten! It's so hard to believe. It has been such an eventful and busy 5 years. Five years I would never take back! They are true miracles and true blessings. They are so unique, yet are so protective and have a deep connection. As much as I want them to stay little...I know they are going to grow up to be wonderful, successful adults with caring hearts that are full of faith and God's love to share with others. Love you Landon and Sadie!! Mommy and Daddy are very proud of you!!

I easily talked Sadie into braiding her hair like a "princess crown" for her gymnastics class. She sat very patiently and still while watching pbskids.org on the computer!! We took the kids to see the Christmas lights in Leesburg this past week. They LOVED it!! They ran around like crazy from one thing to the next in pure amazement...so precious how excited they get!! So fun as parents to do special things like this with your children.

Greg and I had a wonderful date night for his Christmas work party. We actually got to take advantage of a free night in a nice hotel too since his mom was visiting. This was our FIRST overnighter together with NO kids in 4 1/2 years!! Yes, you read that right...we have never had one night alone since having children. Greg has went on numerous trips and I had 2 nights away to my cousin's wedding just over a year ago, but there has never been a time when we both were away at the same time. It was great! We had a fun time taking pictures for Christmas card options. It started out a bit rough. Sadie was grumpy, Duke not cooperating, all three arguing over who gets to sit in the chair, but Mommy finally pulled through. When I couldn't take it any longer and was determined to get some smiles and laughs out of them, I resorted to using a word that is not allowed in our house...."poopy butt." They cracked up laughing! They could not believe Mommy was using these words. It worked...so this is what I got!! These are just a few, more will come in Snapfish.

I can't believe our Landon & Sadie started preschool today! It blows me away! They were pretty excited and we had a perfect morning. Not one child or mommy shed a tear. They walked in that room like they'd been there a thousand times before. I was impressed! They both enjoyed it and their teacher said they were wonderful & well-behaved. Exactly what mommy wants to hear :)

It's fuzzy, but here's Sadie racing a kid twice her size.

There were 5 kids from our subdivision that participated. The boy in the middle is just 3 months older than Landon & Sadie! Mine would have worn their "Smart Start t-shirts too, but they come to their knees!!

We put Landon and Sadie into a 6 week Tee-ball fundamentals class. They really enjoyed it. Last night was their last class. We were supposed to go to a field and attempt to play a game, but the rain kept that from happening. For 5 weeks they did station drills...learning to throw, catch, hit, and run bases. Last night they set up the gym and tried to play a real game. Total chaos!! So funny!! Here's a few pics I got before my camera died. I also got a few good ones on my phone, but don't know how to put them on here.

We spent a short time at Lake Minneola the other day with the MOPS group. Sadie loved it, Landon got used to it, Duke would not attempt it! Here's a few pics I took before the storm hit.

Greg's mom, sister, niece & nephew visited last week. Too bad the weather wasn't so great, but still had some good times at the bounce house. We finally had some sunshine on the last day too and got in some pool time.

Yesterday the kids and I went to the Beach Club Resort at Disney to visit Patty who is an "old" family friend. She was my 2nd grade teacher. She actually taught all 6 of us siblings and she just retired this year. I haven't seen her for 2 1/2 years! The last time she held Duke he was only a month old!! She was at Disney this week with her brother and 2 nephews. We had a wonderful visit. The kids had fun playing in the pool, then she treated us to lunch. The kids were more excited to get the Disney character peez than eating lunch though!!

Friday night we went out to celebrate a couple girlfriends' birthdays. We met up at Urban Flats. (Great flatbreads and delicious mango sangrias!!) Later we went to a small club. It was a blast hanging with the girls. Greg stayed home with the kids and partied late with them on the Wii!! He was passed out cold when I got home! :)

Greg and I went out to dinner for his birthday last Saturday. It's always great to have a night out. We went to nice Asian place we've never been to. It was really neat. One of those places that would be fun with a group of friends. Here's a few pics taken by the kids before we left.

Yesterday for Memorial Day we took the kids miniature bowling. It was a hoot!! The kids loved it. The first game just the kids played and we tried to teach them "sorta" how to roll the ball down the lane. Duke kept saying "we can't dribble this ball." (but he would still try!!) He would also try to "shoot" it down the lane!! They did good considering it was their first experience ever with bowling. Landon beat Sadie and Duke by a long shot. The second game we played boys against girls. Sadie and I were doing very well thru most of the game, but Mommy didn't pull through in the end, and the boys ended up winning. It was a blast!!
